Elena Amodeo has developed a completely personal and strongly characterizing style also on an aesthetic level: her works are almost like mosaics or, as Vittorio Sgarbi called them, "lace". A technique that finds inspiration from ancient art, such as the Byzantine mosaic tradition, up to the most modern currents on the visual perception of images, from pointillism to the avant-garde. The result are works which, through the strength and intensity of colour, are able to instil a deep sense of peace and freedom, to stimulate curiosity and ignite the viewer's imagination, transporting him on a journey where there is"a world in which everything comes to life from the same material, in the harmony of the whole". The theme of travel, a condition universally recognized and known to civilizations of all ages, is presented in the work through the representation of the world; circular shapes that come together in a swirling trend to shape and outline the outline of each continent. The circle, a perfect and pure form, is the element that becomes a characteristic feature of Elena Amodeo througha positive and hopeful message that breaks down any cultural inequality or geographical boundary: a world in which everything, living being or natural form comes to life from same matter in the harmony of a whole.
